Senior Mens Identification Camp

The Senior Men’s national team is holding a centralized camp for identification of athletes for the 2007 Pan Am Games (PAG) team. For athletes to be considered eligible for selection and participation in the 2007 PAG, they must be in attendance at this camp, except in CTHF approved exceptional cases. Athletes wishing to be considered for exemption must apply in writing ASAP to the VP of National Teams and copy the National Team Head Coach. The e-mail addresses for both individuals can be found at the end of this document. Written applications must clearly state why an exception is being requested.

A team will be selected from eligible players to compete against the USA in a PAG qualifying event January 4-7, 2007.  A training camp is highly likely in preparation for this event. It is important to note that the team selected to compete in the PAG qualifier is not the final selection for the 2007 PAG team. The training and selection process will continue with eligible athletes (those in attendance at the centralized November camp and approved exceptional cases) until the final team is named at the end of May 2007.  

It should also be noted that players must be eligible to possess a valid Canadian passport and that a valid Canadian passport will be required for the qualifying event in January 2007.

The centralized training camp will be held November 3 & 4, 2007 in Montreal, Quebec. Practice times and locations are: Nov. 3rd ,  from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Claude Robillard Centre and Nov. 4th , 9:30-12:00 am and 3:00-5:00 pm at the Laval Catholic High School. The cost for all players is $500 regardless of their city of origin. This camp is to be operated on a break even basis with the camp costs being evenly shared between all athletes.
