Provincial Identification Camps :

WHEN: Saturday, September 29th and Sunday, September 30th, 2007

WHERE: Max Bell Field House at the University of Manitoba

TIMES:
Juvenile and Junior Women 8:45am and 5:15pm on the 29th AND the 30th.
Juvenile Men 10:15am and 6:45pm on September 29th AND 30th.
(Practices are 1.5 hours long)

2007/08 PROVINCIAL TEAM COACHING STAFF
We are looking for coaching staff for:

Senior Men

These programs will train throughout the 2007/2008 season and compete in the Senior National Team Handball Championships. Each of these positions are two-year terms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Head Coaches
Duties to include organization, program management and administration: budgeting, scouting and identification of athletes, team tryouts, competition schedule, etc.

All duties associated with the successful operation of an inter-provincial team handball program.

Assistant Coaches
To provide input and guidance and in conjunction with the Head Coach, facilitate the development and promotion of the MTHF's provincial team programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Evidence of sufficient expertise and experience essential to coaching success at a high level. Minimum NCCP Level II, for the Head Coaching positions, or equivalent under the CBET program. If candidate does not currently meet the minimum level then he/she must be willing to upgrade.

Coaching experience at the Provincial Team level or equivalent would be a definite asset.

Availability to travel within Manitoba, Canada, and/or the USA.

Candidates should possess a combination of the following:
• a degree(s) in physical activity, education, sport or associate field of study
• demonstrated ability to work with elite athletes
• working knowledge of the game
• highly organized
